Jo Saint-George, Esq.

Jo Saint-George, Esq., affectionately known as the “Plant Powered Warrior Lawyer,” has been a dedicated vegan for 35 years and is recognized as a pioneer in the plant-based food movement within communities of color. Her advocacy and educational efforts span regions such as South Central Los Angeles, South Phoenix, and Maryland. Notably, she has worked tirelessly to pass plant-based meal legislation for Maryland prisons and successfully secured the passage of a national resolution by the NAACP to support the growth of the plant-based industry in African-American communities. Currently, Jo serves as the Chair of the HBCU College of Plant-Based Lifestyle Medicine, an institution committed to developing a pipeline of plant-based physicians who utilize plant-based lifestyle medicine as primary care for patients with chronic diseases. The college also focuses on incubating innovative plant food vertical growers and manufacturers on HBCU campuses.
